How to Use the PPF Calculator

  1. 1Enter your planned yearly investment amount (up to ₹1,50,000 as per current PPF rules).
  2. 2Enter the interest rate — pre-filled with a typical current rate, but editable since PPF rates change quarterly.
  3. 3Choose your investment duration (minimum 15 years, extendable in 5-year blocks).
  4. 4View your estimated maturity value along with a year-wise growth table.

How PPF Growth Is Calculated

Each year, your deposit is added to the running balance, and interest is calculated on that balance at the given annual rate, then added back in — so interest compounds annually. This calculator provides an estimate; actual PPF interest is calculated monthly on the lowest balance between the 5th and last day of each month, so real returns may vary slightly.
